Tribe was growing month-on-month, winning loyal customers who spread the word even further. Like many young companies, Tribe started off with fulfilment management in-house. But with sales and SKUs increasing, this was no longer tenable. Somehow, Tribe needed to maintain their high standards of customer service, reduce postage costs and accommodate a burgeoning product range.
Pick and pack – with added punch
The volumes meant there was only one sensible solution: a dedicated pick and pack area for Tribe. But that’s only part of the answer – what Tribe really needed was a seamless link between their in-house systems and our outsourced fulfilment management service.
First of all, our API handled data interchange between the warehouse and Tribe’s website. Secondly, we put in place accurate real-time stock control – including scanning of goods-in and goods-out. Finally, we brought costs into line by negotiating a better postage deal – not just financially, but in performance terms too.
With our support, Tribe expanded from 10 SKUs to 25, as well as significantly reducing their postage costs. All while helping to maintain the company’s reputation for excellent customer service.
